Anti-fire plasterboard

On customers' wish we install anti-fire plasterboard of red color and supply completely with plasterboard constructions of higher fire resistance. Anti-fire pasteboard constructions meet the requirements of all the fire levels from 30A to 180 A.

Assembling anti-fire walls facing and plasterboard anti-fire ceilings we raise the construction resistance to fire up to 30-90 minutes longer in inflammability category A. The fire resistance can be raised with anti-fire paints of plasterboard construction.

Attention! You should never rely on do-it-yourself guys or not specialized firms when assembling anti-fire plasterboard constructions. Fulfilling the required parameters of the anti-fire resistance of plasterboard need a big deal of experience, knowledge and not in the least training led by producers of these materials and training in the field of anti-fire security.

Why anti-fire plasterboard?

Plaster as the main component of the plasterboard construction contains a lot of crystal- bound water which in case of fire starts to evaporate and in this way temporally cools off the plasterboard panels.

That general characteristic of plasterboard materials provides them with unique qualities and is reflected in the wide usage of panels based on plaster in anti-fire security of constructions. It's also the main reason why it is one of the most frequently used materials in constructing fire-resistant buildings.

Unimflammability and fire-resistance of plasterboard

Anti-fire materials present two separate fire-resistance parameters which are impossible to replace Unimflammability and fire-resistance. In case of anti-fire plasterboard we differ

Inflammability of plasterboard means that plasterboard panels don't fire and don't help fire spread all over the building. This characteristic is very important for an electrician who is going to install electrics or fire-place designers when designing the fire-place or smokestack surroundings. Inflammability of plasterboard means the ability of plasterboard panels or crossbars to resist the fire and stop its spreading or destroying the carrying or steel construction.

Inflammability of plasterboard is not stated as the material parameter. Inflammability is the quality of the whole construction but not of a separate product or products the construction is made of - it depends on the correctly chosen material of the construction, the number of its layers, insulation, anti-fire paints, cement, active and passive construction security. All the plasterboard panels except those with foam polystyrene stuck are uninflammable with the inflammability category A.

Plasterboard panels can be permanently exposed to temperature of 40 and temporarily of 75 degrees without any damage.

Anti-fire plasterboard panels are used in constructions with fire-resistance required. In common constructions anti-fire plasterboard is used for anti-fire defense of ceilings or roofs, crossbars where each flat is a separate anti-fire area, one-side wall sheathing of wall beams and facing of wooden ceilings and girders. Anti-fire plasterboard and plasterfibre is specially used for floors.

In which constructions plasterboard should be used

Anti-fire plasterboard is used practically in all the areas of construction – There are almost no areas in construction having no reason to use anti-fire plasterboard to protect constructions or at least a reasonable requirement for higher fire resistance, it means a period of time when the building can stand the destruction by heat when a fire spreads. Fires start unexpectedly and in full operation when there are people in the building and close around and it's necessary to have enough time in case of fire to move people or valuable things to secure places and isolate the fire place before the fire brigade arrives.

Anti-fire plasterboard is mostly used when constructing offices in commercial premises, shopping centers, state institutions and family houses, loft spaces, underground garages, footbridges, tunnels determined to serve the other objects on foot taking into account big number of people moving there.
